Today I began the first day of what is to be a year long Journalism course. This, as we were told, is not like university, in that it is a professional qualification, designed for those who wished to get a job at the end of their study.
We learnt some shorthand today, which looks like some kind of primitve runes, and is a way to write words or even phrases in a single squiggle.
